After ten years of hard working, the initiative for a layout of R&D and technology grid for China's green energy automotive industry has been achieved, enabling the primary manufacturing and marketing of alternative energy driven automobiles, while at the same time spending on R&D of technologies and products for alternative energy driven cars from major car manufacturers and key vendors have been intensified, further expediting the development of alternative energy cars. As more policies encouraging the progress of automotive industry yet to be released, the next 10 years will be very critical for the alternative energy automobiles to have a full throttle, and it is our desire that a platform for mutual communication and learning among industry peers could be formed through this event, important topics of the development of alternative energy car industry could be thoroughly discussed, and contributions could be made for a fast and healthy growth of the whole industry as well as the whole value chain.
Alternative energy automobiles such as electric cars have brought an unprecedented opportunity for China to move from a major country of car manufacturing and sales to a country of strong automotive industry. It is also an opportunity for China to take a stride forward in terms of the automotive industry's infrastructure, rendering wider range of international cooperation in this area. To address the new opportunities, China Automotive Industry Import and Export Corporation is re-aligning its overall strategies and combining its domestic and international channel resources to foster a more active technology exchange and automobile trade in the alternative energy automobile area. It is our hope that Green Auto China 2012, jointly organized by China Association of Automobile manufacturers, Wuhan Municipality and us, could serve as a specialized platform for regular technological communication and products display so that broader and deeper international cooperation could be triggered.
